PHOTOS: Bello Shehu Assumes Office As Katsina CP, Pledges To Work With Stakeholders

Shehu hails from the Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) on June 10th, 1994.


 

The Katsina State Police Command on Friday welcomed Bello Shehu as he assumed duty as its 26th Commissioner of Police.

This follows his recent posting and deployment by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun.

A statement by the Katsina Police Command spokesman Abubakar Sadiq noted that the newly posted commissioner seeks support from all and sundry in the state in the course of the discharge of his duties.

He emphasised his commitment towards ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Katsina State and pledged to work in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in the state to ensure the reduction of crime to the barest minimum in the state.

Shehu hails from the Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) on June 10th, 1994.

He is a holder of Bsc Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, and MSc in Security and Strategic studies from Nigeria Defense Academy, Kaduna State.

Shehu is a seasoned police officer with over three decades of experience who served the force in various capacities, showcasing his expertise in law enforcement, ranging from operations, investigations and administration departments. The CP is a member of Course 32, National Defence College, Abuja. He is happily married, and the marriage is blessed with children.
