VIDEO: I See Music As A Tool To Speak For The People — Eedris Abdulkareem

Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem says he sees music as a platform to speak for the voiceless.

Abdulkareem’s recent track, Tell Your Papa, was banned by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), sparking debates.

But the controversial singer believes “music is not just for merry merry, music is a tool to speak for people; music is a tool to fight corruption”.

He was a guest on Monday’s edition of Channels Television’s The Morning Brief. 

Abdulkareem said that he was inspired by Seyi Tinubu (President Bola Tinubu’s son) to record the song after Seyi said his father is the best.
