5.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Afghanistan

The EMSC reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 121 kilometres

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region on Wednesday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).  

The EMSC reported that the quake occurred at a depth of 121 kilometres (75 miles), with its epicentre located 164 kilometres east of Baghlan, a city with a population of about 108,000.
