The Katsina Council of the organized labour on Thursday demanded enhanced security measures, calling on the Federal Government to intensify
efforts in securing agricultural communities in the state.
This is to ensure that farmers can work without fear of violence or extortion.
The Chairman of the State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Organized Labour, Hussaini Yanduna, made the request at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina as he joined the world to mark International Workers’ Day with the Theme: “Reclaiming the Civic Space in the Midst of Economic Hardship”.
This, he said, could be achieved if the Federal Government can continue to strengthen the security architecture in the State.
He therefore appreciated the commitment of Governor Radda in taking bold steps to ensure peace and stability are enjoyed in the state.
“We strongly believe that the security has now improved significantly with this determination and commitment.
