A coalition of women and youth groups from Niger East (Zone B) Senatorial District has declared support for the senatorial ambition of Mohammed Ndarani (SAN) for Niger South (Zone A) in the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a solidarity rally held at (UK) Bello Hall in Minna, which attracted participants from the nine local government areas of Zone B — Bosso, Chanchaga, Munya, Paikoro, Shiroro, Rafi, Gurara, Tafa and Suleja.

Addressing the gathering, speakers described the Senior Advocate of Nigeria as a compassionate and people-oriented leader whose philanthropic interventions have positively impacted communities across religious, ethnic and social divides.

Comrade Umar Mohammed, a member of the coalition, said the group deemed it necessary to publicly identify with the aspirant despite belonging to a different senatorial zone.

According to him, Ndarani’s record of humanitarian support — including financial assistance to communities, scholarships to students, empowerment for graduates and aid to vulnerable groups — has earned him widespread admiration.

“Leadership is about service, and Barrister Ndarani has consistently demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people.

“We are urging the people of Zone A to support a candidate who has already shown capacity and compassion,” he said.

Also speaking, Junaidu Yahaya from Paikoro Local Government Area described the aspirant as a dependable leader whose interventions have transformed lives across the state. He expressed confidence that Ndarani’s emergence as Senator in 2027 would strengthen representation and accelerate development in Niger South.

In her remarks, Mary Bitrus, a Christian participant at the rally, said the endorsement transcends religious and ethnic considerations, noting that Ndarani’s assistance to widows, the less privileged and other vulnerable persons has been inclusive.

“He carries everyone along. That is why we have come out in our numbers to support him,” she said.

The coalition further assured that beyond the solidarity rally, members would mobilise their contacts, particularly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zone A, to rally behind the aspirant.

They pledged to intensify grassroots consultations and advocacy within the party structure to ensure he secures the necessary support ahead of the 2027 polls.

The rally concluded with prayers and chants expressing optimism that with sustained mobilisation and support from Niger South, Barrister Mohammed Ndarani (SAN) would emerge victorious in the forthcoming senatorial contest.
