Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr and Rema
Four of Nigeria’s biggest music stars, Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr and Rema, have been selected to feature on the official soundtrack album for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
FIFA unveiled the star-studded lineup on Tuesday through its music platform, FIFA Sound, ahead of the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
In a post shared on X, FIFA announced the forthcoming release of the Official #FIFAWorldCup 2026™ Album, encouraging fans worldwide to pre-save the project ahead of its June 5 release.
“The squad for the Official #FIFAWorldCup 2026™ Album is here! Pre-save for the album release on June 5. Stay tuned for more to come,” the organisation wrote.
The 18-track compilation, produced by FIFA Sound in partnership with Universal Music, brings together some of the world’s biggest artists across Afrobeats, pop, hip-hop, Latin music, K-pop, dancehall and other genres. The project is designed to celebrate football’s ability to unite cultures and communities ahead of the expanded 2026 World Cup.
According to the tracklist released by FIFA, Nigerian stars secured prominent collaborations alongside internationally acclaimed musicians.
Rema appears on “Goals” alongside BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Brazilian superstar Anitta, blending Afrobeats, K-pop and Latin influences.
Davido features on “No Place Like Home” with electronic music collective Major Lazer and Canadian singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado.
Ayra Starr joins American rapper Latto on “Show Me”, while Burna Boy collaborates with Colombian superstar Shakira on “Dai Dai”, one of the album’s most anticipated songs following weeks of pre-release promotion.
The inclusion of the four Nigerian artists highlights Afrobeats’ continued global rise and places them alongside some of the most recognisable names in contemporary music.
Other artists featured on the album include Future, Tyla, Daddy Yankee, Shenseea, 21 Savage, French Montana, Stormzy, Ava Max, BIA, Jelly Roll, Carín León, Danny Ocean, Shaggy and IShowSpeed.
The album forms part of FIFA’s wider entertainment strategy for the 2026 World Cup, which will run from June 11 to July 19 and feature an expanded 48-team format for the first time in the tournament’s history.
