Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Asake has announced that his fourth studio album, ‘M$NEY’, will be released on May 1, 2026.
The artiste disclosed the release date via his social media platforms, sharing a cryptic teaser video accompanied by the caption, “M$NEY MAY 1 #MM.”
The visual, which has since sparked widespread reactions online, features Iraqi-Dutch sculptor Athar Jabar chiselling a marble sculpture in Asake’s likeness, a symbolic representation widely believed to be connected to the album’s cover art.
The forthcoming project is expected to comprise previously released singles such as ‘Why Love’, ‘Badman Gangster’ featuring French rapper Tiakola, and ‘Worship’, a collaboration with international DJ, DJ Snake.
The album is also expected to be released under Asake’s imprint, GIRAN Republic, in partnership with independent music company EMPIRE, marking his second project under the label arrangement.
M$NEY follows closely on the heels of his joint EP ‘Real Vol. 1’ with fellow Nigerian superstar Wizkid, released earlier in 2026.

The new album also highlights Asake’s consistency, as it becomes his fourth studio album within a four-year span since his debut project in 2022.
Since breaking into the mainstream with his 2020 hit single ‘Lady’, Asake has evolved into one of the most influential voices in Afrobeats.
His debut album, ‘Mr Money With The Vibes’ (2022), enjoyed massive commercial success and set the tone for his distinctive fusion of Fuji-inspired vocals, street-hop, and Amapiano elements.
He followed this with ‘Work of Art’ (2023), a project that produced global hits such as ‘Lonely At The Top’.

His third album, ‘Lungu Boy’ (2024), featured high-profile collaborations and achieved impressive streaming milestones, including a record-breaking opening day on Spotify.
Notably, ‘Work of Art’ recently returned to the number one position on the Spotify Nigeria Weekly Top Albums chart in its 146th week.

Beyond commercial success, Asake has also received critical acclaim and international recognition.
He earned a nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards in the Best African Music Performance category, although the award ultimately went to fellow Nigerian artiste Tems.
