Rome’s Stadio Olimpico has been “fully confirmed” as the host city for Euro 2020, European football governing body UEFA confirmed on Wednesday.
The Italian government have guaranteed that matches scheduled for the Stadio Olimpico will take place with spectators, UEFA said.
Rome is set to host the opening fixture for the multi-host nation tournament, between Turkey and Italy.
It was also picked to host Italy’s other group matches against Switzerland and Wales, as well as a quarter-final.
