Ukrainian ground forces commander Mykhailo Drapaty said June 1, 2025 he was resigning, saying he felt “responsibility” for the deaths of at least 12 soldiers in a Russian strike on a training ground earlier that day. “This is a deliberate step dictated by my personal sense of responsibility for the tragedy,” he said in his resignation letter.
