Bashir Adigun
Bashir Adigun, Controller News and Current Affairs (Northern Region), based in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city where he oversees and coordinates news reports across the northern part of Africa’s most populous nation.
Before joining Channels, Nigeria’s first and most credible independent news network, Adigun worked at The Guardian newspaper as a Reporter / Researcher.
At Channels Television, Adigun has held positions of Production Editor, Associate Editor, News Editor and Abuja Bureau Chief. He also presented Your Rights and Abuja Weekly.
He attended Nigeria’s Premier University, the University of Ibadan where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Language Arts.
He also has two post graduate degrees from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; one in International Affairs and Diplomacy and the other in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.
Adigun has travelled extensively around the world in the course of his career as a journalist. His obsessions are reading, writing and listening to music.
