The chairman, Lebanese community in Kano state, Mr. Muhammed Taher Fadlalla, has denied ownership of the house where large quantity of assorted weapons suspected to be that of Hezbollah terrorist organization were uncovered by the Joint Security Forces (JSF) in the state.

In an interview with Channels Television, Mr. Fadlalla, denied any knowledge of knowing or coming in contact with the said Abdu Hassan Taher Fadlalla or the other occupants of the house.

A Nigerian by birth, resident in Kano, Muhammed Taher Fadlalla, stated that his name is not the wanted ‘Abdu Hassan Taher Fadlalla’ and has no connection whatsoever with the weapons recovered at his fellow Lebanese house.

Officials of JSF had announced that on the 28th of  May, a combine team of the Joint Task Force (JTF) involving operatives of the Nigeria Army, and the DSS in Kano conducted a search of the house located at No3 Gaya road off Bompai road allegedly belonging to one Abdul Hassan Taher Fadlalla – a Lebanese national who is now at large and declared wanted.

Describing media reports which identified him as the wanted Taher Fadlalla, as misleading, Muhammed Taher Fadlalla said in his capacity as chairman of the Lebanese community in Kano, he has taken a strict measures to ensure peace and stability in the state by cooperating with all the relevant authority and stakeholders, stressing that henceforth all Lebanese coming to Kano will be subjected to a thorough search.

Mr. Taher, is the owner of Taher Guest Palace hotel in Kano who was recently linked with the recovered Hezbollah armoury in the state, the allegation Taher strongly condemn.

Meanwhile, Mr. Taher is demanding for an immediate retraction of what he called false story and an unconditional apology from all media houses that first linked him with the armoury.
