Military authority of the 3 division special operation in Yobe state north east Nigeria today approved a review of curfew in Potiskum local government area of the state.

A statement issued by the spokesman of the battalion, Captain Eli Lazarus says restriction of movement in Potiskum is now between the hours of 9 pm in the evening and 6am in the morning daily until further notice.

The replaces the former curfew time beginning  from 10pm to 6am.

The measure according to the statement is as a result of the operation currently being conducted by the battalion in conjunction with other security agencies in the local government area.

While appreciating the continuous support being received from the people of the area, the statement enjoined law abiding residents of the area to comply with the new time in the quest for peace, assuring that law enforcement agencies will continue to work assiduously towards the protection of lives and property of the people.

The statement urges residents to continue to divulge relevant information that will help security agents’ tackle the security challenges currently plaguing the state.
