Olaoluwakitan Adekunle Olumide
Olaoluwakitan Adekunle Olumide is the Station Manager of Channels Television Benin City, Edo State, a position he assumed in February 2015 after the Station commenced full transmission in September 2014. He reports directly to the General Manager, Special Duties, GMSD.
He joined Channels Television on the 15th of October 2001 as a script writer and grew to become a Senior Reporter/Deputy Editor. In 2002 He was redeployed to Benin City as a reporter and later served in Ekiti, Lagos as well as Kwara Bureaux between 2004 and 2012.
Before joining Channels Television Olumide worked as a Reporter/Researcher and as a Special Projects Executive at Financial Standard Newspaper in Ikeja Lagos between April 2000 and September 2001.
Olumide holds a Diploma in Journalism (1992) from the famous Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State and was also awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the same institution. He has attended several courses, trainings and seminars in Broadcasting as well as Marketing.
A team player, Olumide also has the knack for going solo when the need arises. He enjoys wildlife, reading, music, sports as well as travelling.
He hails from Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State and is married to Kehinde Olaoluwakitan and they are blessed with four children Favour, Mercy, Divine and Neriah.
