IBB arrived around 3:30 p.m. local time in a chartered aircraft N550 DR from Germany where he had gone for medical treatment.
He was in company of his son, Aminu and daughter Halima while he was welcomed at the airport by a former Governor A. A. Kure.
Also at the airport were Mohammed Babangida, Aisha Babangida, Umar Ndanusa and a former federal Permanent Secretary, Idris Kuta.
Reports had emerged online few days ago about his state of health and alleged demise.
While some online media said he had died in Germany others said he was in a critical condition.
