Art is life and life is art, today on Arthouse we will be discussing about Swedish artist, Lande Anjous – Zygmunt and the owner of Swedish Gallery of Modern Art, who has decided to return to her routes to celebrate the union of two cultures.

 

 

 

Art House: Colourful Display At Peace And Unity Concert

art2Peace and Unity is what artistes at the National Theatre are serving their esteemed audience.

This concert which involves not just singing but dancing with the performers adorned in various colourful costumes.

The costumes show their ethnic groups and others who have stuck to the old school apparels lead the pack of dancers staying in the front role, while the others stand back and do the singing.

Songs from the music diva Onyeka Onwenu were sang, but these artistes added another twist to the songs, one after the other they step out to rap in their indigenous languages, which gave some flavor to an already popular tune.

For the Director of the National Troupe, Martins Adaji the big picture is to send a positive message which the country needs now.

These strokes were not done by ordinary hands; the extra-ordinary minds that created these pieces are being celebrated at this show organized by the National Gallery of Art.masters exhibition

The works of art is as unique as the brains that created them. That’s one of the reasons why the National Gallery boss, Abdullahi Muku was passionate, being a part of this project; he’s also taken note of these concerns.

Although it’s a wonder to behold such creative genius, some art enthusiasts have a bone to pick with the way the works of art are being handled.  Most of them are already showing signs of age making it so obvious that they have seen many moons.

Some of these Master artists have gone to the great beyond; a few others are still alive and well in their little corners doing what they know how to do best and imparting the next generation.

 

Bolaji Ogunwo Presents Visual Cocktail At Terra Kulture Gallery

A large crowd turned out to check out his recipes which he put on acrylic on canvas in over 20 paintings with titles such as ‘The Flight, Smile, Pensive, The Chase and many other works of art.

Bolaji Ogunwo, who is intrigued by people, events and different scenes, uses the impasto technique and his palette knife skillfully to interpret the theme of survival, love, passion and more.

Bolaji Ogunwo told Channels Television that “every piece has a tale to it and words of wisdom from great minds such as Henry Longfellow, Ralph Emerson, George Washington and many others.
