#BBNaija: I Could Have Bought Immunity For Myself And Still Lost – Ike

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Ikechukwu Onyema, popularly known as Ike says he is excited that his girlfriend, Mercy, emerged as this season’s winner.

While in the house, Mercy had secured immunity into the final week after she borrowed some coins from Ike – a move which sparked various reactions from fans of the show especially after Ike got evicted.

He, however, told Channels Television that he was well aware of Mercy’s decision and both of them had agreed that either of them would purchase immunity.

“Me and Mercy had tried to plan out a lot of things in the game. I gave her the coins so she could get immunity,” he said in an interview with Channels TV’s Entertainment News.

“We were going to get immunity. Either she was, or I was and I was feeling too strong in the game… too confident and since her birthday way coming up, I said she should just buy it.

“I think it ended up a good decision. I could have bought for myself and still probably lost so I think it was a good decision.”

“Tacha entertained me a lot. Her little attitudes and things she did always made me laugh. Also, she was a wonderful cook so why wouldn’t I be around her,” he said.

“I didn’t see what everybody else saw and like I said, she just entertained me and I was sad to see her go”.

“I didn’t expect it this way.. I thought I’d be judged or criticized but the fact that I get calls and people say I made them proud, I made the northern part proud and some even say their daughters look up to me, is amazing”.

Speaking about her friendship with fellow housemate, Elozonam, she explained that both of them are great friends and for now are only looking forward to knowing each other better and working together.

It had been an intriguing and eventful 99 days, with 26 housemates, each serving their own dose of ‘pepper’ along the way.

Big Brother Naija Housemate, Tacha has been disqualified from the reality show.

The 23-year-old who has been one of the most controversial housemates in this year’s season was disqualified on Friday evening after she and fellow housemate, Mercy got involved in a fight earlier in the day.

Their disagreement started when the Head Of House, Seyi, called everyone to the lounge so they could read their task for the day from Biggie’s scroll.

However, Mercy who had just finished having her bath came out late for the reading – a situation which got Tacha upset and she began to rain insults on Mercy who was quick to insult her back.

This resulted in a heated exchange of words which later turned violent.

BBN: There’s A Lot Of Pressure On ‘Tolex’ But We’re Just Friends – Tobi

Second Runner Up of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija Season 3, Tobi Bakre has shed more light on his relationship status with co-housemate and 3rd runner-up, Alex Asogwa.

In a chat on Sunday with Rubbin Minds on Channels Television, the former housemate in the ‘Double Wahala’ season explained that while there’s been a lot of pressure on both, they have chosen to remain just friends.

The pair ‘Tolex’, who grew much closer towards the end of the reality show, have drawn so much attention to themselves even as their friendship appears to have waxed stronger outside of the house.

Tobi, however, maintained that although they both like each other a lot, they’ve decided to focus on achieving other dreams and taking advantage of the opportunities that come their way for now.

There’s No Love When My Bank Account Isn’t Smiling

“People have put pressure on Tolex, we are friends. Getting to know her more, I find her interesting, I think we like each other but then in the outside world it’s a different ball game.

“Of course that friendship is going to remain but at the same time, now we are open to a whole new world, new opportunities, we have to hustle, me personally,
there’s no love when my bank account is not smiling, my emotions are zero when I’m not yet where I want to be in life so for me, already have a lot of things I want to focus on and there are still a lot of people you’ll get to meet in your circle so you really don’t want to put that pressure on yourself, you can’t put all your eggs in that basket,” he said.

Also for Alex, Tobi believes there’s still so much for her to accomplish and even a lot more work to do in achieving her dreams because according to him, “she’s like a white canvass” and “any form of relationship that is not friendship will just be two of us holding each other back from a lot we can accomplish.

“As friends, I’ll be there for her, anyway she needs me, I’ll be there but when it comes to a relationship, that’s not the goal right now, he stated.

As regards other dreams he hopes to pursue, he said first on his list is photography which according to him, he is very passionate about.

He says in about a month or two, he would be having an exhibition that would enable him to showcase some of his work as well as that of other photographers as he believes the Photography industry in Nigeria is under-appreciated.

The former housemate who resigned from his banking job before the competition said asides acting and events hosting, he might also consider other creative aspects of banking in the future.

BBN: Nigerians React As Ex-Housemates Khloe, Anto Return

Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Anto and Khloe who was disqualified earlier in the game, are back in the ‘Double Wahala’ show and the new twist has many Nigerians talking.

Show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu had announced last week that as part of surprises planned by the organisers, viewers would be allowed to vote two of their favourite evicted housemates back into the house to continue the contest for the N45million grand prize.

Housemates, however, remained unaware of the development until Monday morning.

With Anto and Khloe topping the votes, they were invited back to the game during Sunday’s ‘supposed’ eviction show although ‘Biggie’ had a plan to sneak them in at 3:00 am today (Monday).

Also, as part of the surprises, Biggie announced on Sunday that all their offences (strikes) had been nullified including the supposed evictions for Sunday and consequently, reset the game.

He also offered an undisclosed sum of money for anyone who wished to terminate their game but no one took the offer.

It was, however, a mix of emotions when the housemates woke up to see their former mates back in the game.

Nigerians have also taken to social media to react to the choice of housemates with some giving the organisers a nod, some criticizing the move and others sharing hilarious comments.
