The Ogun State Police Command has uncovered a shrine allegedly being used by kidnappers and fraudsters for fake currencies production at Ponkuku village in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria
Some members of the public have been disposed of their valuables by four members of a gang who operate the shrine.
A middle aged man has, however, been arrested by the police in connection with the shrine, just as the state police boss has vowed to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang and prosecute them accordingly
The State Commissioner of Police, Hammed Iliyasu, led the operation to the shrine.
He, however, warned the public to be wary of the antics of these men, promising that fleeing members of the group would be apprehended and prosecuted accordingly
To effectively contain these criminal activities across the state the commissioner of police asked for collaboration, understanding and useful information from residents
