APGA Sweeps Idemili Federal Constituency In Anambra Supplementary Poll

 

 

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), candidates for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in Anambra State have won the rerun elections held on Saturday.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), who announced the results, declared Ifeanyi Ibezi winner after he polled 29,566 votes for Senate seat. The incumbent, Obinna Chidoka who polled 26,026 votes, came second in the rerun.

The case was however similar at the House of Representatives rerun elections in Aguata federal constituency, with APGA’s candidate, Chuma Umeoji garnering 15,942 votes.

However, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party APC and YPP polled 12,440, 2,758, 4,606 respectively.

Elections in Idemili North and South Federal constituency was declared inconclusive after reported disruptions on February 23, and rescheduled to March 9, 2019.
