He said this while urging Nigerians to be patient and cooperate with security agencies by offering useful information.
The Chief of Defence Staff was in Jos, North Central Nigeria in company of security chiefs on a fact finding mission to the scene of last Tuesday’s twin bomb blasts in Jos central market where the State Police Commissioner and the commander of special task force conducted the team round the affected area.
The team thereafter left for the Jos University Teaching Hospital where he met with some of the injured who were receiving treatment for various injuries sustained during the bomb blasts.
Air Chief Marshal Badeh, while assuring Nigerians on the competence of the military, described the attackers as cowards that attack innocent, defenceless and poor citizens in a market place where they were going about their daily jobs in trading and seeking survival.
He attributed the attacks in Abuja, Kano and Jos to the pressure being mounted on the terrorists in the North East, which he described as being too much for the insurgents and this has informed their attacks on soft targets.
