At Dakingari local government area, voters queued up immediately after the close of accreditation by 12 noon to exercise their right to elect a governor of their choice.
The exercise which began at exactly 12:30 after the accreditation ended saw men, women and the elderly queuing up separately in line with the culture of the people of the State.
Some adhoc staff who spoke off camera attribute d the delay in the commencement of accreditation to the problem of late payment of their allowances.
The accreditation for the Kebbi state governorship election started late this morning as some voters were seen queuing up for the exercise in most of the centres visited within the state capital, Birnin Kebbi as commercial motor cyclists took advantage of the failure of the police to enforce the restriction of movement order to carry out their normal business.
At Bunza local government area which is a few minutes’ drive from the state capital had commercial activities in full blast.
Some residents who spoke to our crew said they decided to continue their business after being accredited since voting will be starting at 12:30 pm.
The situation is also not different at Dakingari local government area as a few voters turned up for accreditation as at the time of this report.
The accreditation exercise ended by noon while voting proper started at twelve thirty pm in all the twenty-one local government areas of the state.
