Commandant General of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps has appealed to Nigerians to avoid spreading exaggerated views about the situation in the country.

The appeal is coming from the Inspector General of Police; Mr. Hafiz Ringim who told his men that their job though sensitive is considered as extremely important in the face of the increasing security challenges in the country.
Mr. Ringim listed the terrorist threats, challenges of the new group of ex-militants and the increasing spate of armed robbery as a result of the festive period as some of the issues the police will have to deal with.
He noted that the force will not take it lightly with anyone found wanting or not living up to their responsibility.
