Rivers Chief Of Staff Raises Alarm Over Sudden Withdrawal Of Policemen

Just when it was thought that sanity was beginning to return to Rivers state, the Chief of Staff to the Rivers state governor, Tony Okocha has raised an alarm on the sudden withdrawal of two of the policemen assigned to secure his official residence and others attached to the Secretary to the Rivers state government, Mr George Feyii without any notice.

Mr. Okocha expressed shock over the sudden move, which he alleged the State Commissioner of Police, Mbu Joseph Mbu was responsible for, while speaking to Channels Television at his office in the government house, Port Harcourt.

He alleged that while he was away for an official meeting, armed policemen totalling about 15 stormed his official residence and ordered out the two policemen, and same was done to another principal officer of the Amaechi administration, Mr, George Feyii, the Secretary to the state government.

He however stated that the sudden withdrawal of the police escorts for two principal officers without prior notice is a huge disappointment and above all a fresh onslaught on the Amaechi led administration by the State Police Commissioner, Mbu Joseph Mbu, as it portends serious danger to his family and the day-to-day activities of his office as Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt.
