Governor Idris Wada of Kogi state has called on all students of the state in Tertiary Institutions across the country to register on the new web portal/website of the Kogi State Scholarship Board in order to get the next bursary award from the state  government.

Gov. Wada stated this in Lokoja during the inauguration of the state scholarship website and e-payment facility, he said his administration has employed modern information technology initiative to further lighten the burden of acquiring education in the state.

While presenting the final  data contained in the scholarship board web portal which has been processed and collated to the Governor, the executive secretary of the state scholarship board Mrs Rebecca Acheneje, who briefed the governor  all about the web portal also told him that the web has been on test running since October 2014 to May 2015.

Governor Idris Wada in his speech  thanked them for the new initiative which  he termed as  a landmark in the board’s attempt to use information and communication technology in achieving the laudable objective for which the board was established, and a process that will save cost.
