The President arrived in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Monday evening and he is expected to commission 40 legacy projects which the Ogun State government said cut across three senatorial districts.

He was received by the State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and some other government officials.

It is 40 years since Ogun State was carved out from the Old Western Region.

During the unveiling of the anniversary’s programmes on Friday, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa, told reporters that 12 of the projects were in Ogun West and 16 projects in Ogun Central Senatorial District.

As part of the celebration 11 former governors of the state are expected to be part of the celebration.

Among the projects expected to be commissioned are the 110km Ilaro/Ijoun/Tombolo road which cuts across four local government areas of Ogun West Senatorial Districts, the Ilo Awela road in Ota area, model schools, 750 hectares New Makun Estate in Sagamu, 50 hectares cashew plantation at Imeko Afon and 50 hectares palm plantation at Ipokia among other legacy projects.
