The U.N. war crimes court trying former Liberian president Charles Taylor for atrocities in Sierra Leone said on Thursday it would hand down its final judgement in the case on April 26.

Taylor is on trial at the Special Court for Sierra Leone for alleged murder, rape, conscripting child soldiers and sexual slavery during wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone.

More than 250,000 people were killed in the fighting.
