The All Progressive Congress in Akwa Ibom State has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of frustrating its effort to prepare for its case challenging the election of Governor Emmanuel Udom on April 11.

Counsel to the APC, Victor Iyanam, told reporters on Tuesday that the electoral body had refused to honour the order of the court which gave it a go-ahead to inspect the materials used for the election.

He said: “Even though we have complained to the leadership of the commission, the inspection is yet to commence”.

Mr Iyanam stressed that the party would be force to approach the court again to bring a case of contempt again the electoral body, claiming that the commission’s action suggests that it is has not played the role of an independent party in the suit.
