Gunmen Attack Southern Kaduna Village Leaves Five Dead and Four Wounded

The attack on the Angwa Rami village in Kaura Local Government Area came some hours after an illegal bomb-making factory and armoury suspected to belong to the Boko Haram sect exploded, wounding three members of the group who were later arrested by security forces.

Sectarian violence returned to the Southern part of the state after the last April presidential elections.

Reports say the gunmen stormed into the village in the early hours, killing five elderly persons and injuring four others, including a six-year old child.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks yet; however police spokesman, Aminu Lawan who confirmed the attack said police has launched a full investigation into the incident.
