Adegboye Onigbinde
Former Nigeria coach Adegboye Onigbinde has rescinded his decision to withdraw from the NFF Technical Committee after persuasion by Fifa and Caf committee members of Nigerian decent.
Onigbinde early in the week lashed out at the committee, claiming he was being marginalized in the decision-making process.
But after a meeting of Nigerian members of Fifa and CAF committees, former NFA chairman Dominic Oneya says he was persuaded to have a rethink.
“We persuaded him to change his mind,” Oneya said. “As a CAF and FIFA official, we reminded him that charity must begin at home and he cannot resign and leave Nigerian football. We are happy that he has agreed to return to the committee.”
