13 Nationals of Niger Republic have been arrested by the Police force in Kano for allegedly entering the country without valid entry documents.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, who disclosed this at a press conference in Kano on Thursday, said the suspects were arrested on May 8 during a raid along Beirut road in Kano metropolis…the raid was carried out at about 9.30 p.m. to check criminal activities within the area.”
Idris further said “Upon interrogation, the suspects were discovered to have come from Niger Republic without valid entry documents and they do not have any means of livelihood or housing.’’
According to the Commissioner, the 13 persons have been transferred to the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Kano Command, for further necessary action.
