NPC Announces Plans To Review 2004 Policy

The National Population Commission (NPC) has announced plans to review the 2004 National Population Policy (NPP) as part of efforts to ensure full employment and enhanced national growth for the country.

The chairman of the commission, Mister Eze Odimegwu who announced this at a retreat on population management for members of the commission said the nation’s population policy was based on externally articulated platforms that needs to be changed.

He said a new policy has become imperative as it holds the key to the sustainable resolution of the nation’s current challenges and attainment of national aspirations.
