The National Auditor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Adewole Adeyanju has belled the cat for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term in office, claiming the Ogun state chapter of the party has endorsed the President for another term.

Referring to the controversial rotational politics, Mr Adeyanju inferred that for Nigeria to remain united, President Jonathan must be allowed to continue with another term because he is from the South-south, saying the country is “turn by turn Nigeria Limited.”

“PDP has leaders and we know them. Today our leader is the President and Commander of the Armed Forces; Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. This man is from the south-south” he stated.

“The best thing to do for Nigeria, to sustain Nigeria is to make Nigeria; turn by turn Nigeria limited.”

“That’s why we can talk two terms” he continued stating that “south south is there now and we should just allow them to do two terms and that is how Nigeria can survive” he affirmed.

Mr Adeyanju made this known in Ilaro, Yewa south local government of Ogun state, south-west Nigeria, at  civic reception in his honour organised by  PDP  members in the state.

He challenged the party’s leadership  to evolve the necessary internal democracy with the on going reconciliation of aggrieved members of the party across the country in the interest of peace and fair play.

The civic reception organized by a group of the party  was attended  by party members from the three senatorial districts and 20 local government areas of the state.

The chairman of the party in the state also admonished members to close rank and ensure the  on going reconciliation process  yield the desired result as the national auditor maintained he was ready to bridge the gap among political gladiators in the party.

The civic reception brought together members from different factions of the party in Ogun state, signifying that the on going reconciliation might soon yield positive results.

National cake mentality

Meanwhile, Lagos based lawyer; Festus Keyamo has decried the turn-by-turn Nigeria Limited notion, describing it as sycophancy and foul political language.

The lawyer who recently declared his intention to run for the governor of Delta state claimed that the turn-by-turn notion is a ‘national cake mentality’ which means one side should eat the cake now and when it is done, the cake would be passed over to another.
