Chairmen of opposition political parties in Rivers State under the umbrella of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), have vowed to support the state governor and chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Chibuike Amaechi, in the challenges facing his administration.
The opposition parties expressed their support and loyalty to the governor stating that the purpose of their visit was to back the governor on the crisis facing the state.
According to Mr. Dagogo Jack, leaders of the various opposition parties are greatly worried over the recent increases in security threats as a result of internal problems from the ruling the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.
Mr Amaechi thanked the opposition party leaders for their visit and support, assuring that he would not disappoint the people of the state.
