Group Condemns Entry Scores For Unity Schools

The pan Igbo cultural and think tank group, Aka Ikenga, has condemned the recent quota policy allegedly released for all unitary schools and federal government colleges, by the Ministry of Education.

The policy allows the schools to admit students who score 100 marks and above for certain states and some who scored between 220 marks into the same class and school of study.

The group in a letter describes the policy as “shocking and injurious to the nation’s educational sector” and called on the Education Minister, Professor Rukayatu Rufai to reverse the policy with immediate effect

The open letter to the Minister was signed by the President of the group, Mr. Goddy Uwazuruike.
