The Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Mr Kingsley Kuku has called on the international oil companies in the niger delta to review the contract of firms handling their pipeline surveillance.

Speaking at a meeting with executive members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, Mr Kuku said that the contract should be reviewed with special considerations for the communities hosting the pipelines.

Mr Kuku explained that this step could help to stem the tide of pipeline vandalism and crude theft in the country.
