The Yobe state government has taken delivery of some construction equipment procured for the state ministry of integrated rural development, in order to embark on massive construction of rural and feeder roads across the state.

The equipment procured include; pay loaders, tippers and graders among other construction equipment worth 58 million naira.

Speaking while inspecting the equipment, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam appreciated the quality of the equipment which according to him are brand new and will help government actualize its feeder roads construction in the state.

According to him, the state just accelerated its effort in terms of execution of projects by the government, as every road project will exude quality.

“The era of refurbished equipment for construction works in the state is over and we will continue to ensure that money is channeled into viable ventures that will bring quality in the execution of various projects across the state”.

The state deputy governor, who oversees the Ministry Of Integrated Rural Development in reaction, thanked the governor for the approval and procurement of the construction equipment.

He assured the governor that the equipment will be effectively used for the purpose intended, pointing out that the ministry has never had it this good as the equipment will be used in opening up local communities.
