Imoke Inaugurates Committee To Reform Governance In Cross River

Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River State has inaugurated a committee for his administration’s  State and Local Governance Reform (SLOGOR) project.

This is said to be a strategy to strengthen governance for effective and efficient service delivery among the three arms of government in the State.

The project is aimed at improving transparency, accountability and quality in the public finance management with a view to strengthening governance.

Inaugurating the committee at the Executive Council Chambers in Calabar, the state capital, the Governor noted that to achieve meaningful and sustainable reforms as an administration, all arms of Government must be alive to their various responsibilities.

He urged the various stakeholders in the three arms of Government to start thinking of ways things can be done differently with the sole aim of ensuring service delivery to the governed.
