fatai-akinbadeAs the Governorship elections inches closer, the Labour Party has formally flagged off its campaign with the promise that the party would clinch the Governorship seat.

Despite the scorching sun, the supporters who were dressed in the same attire, waited at the Nelson Mandela Park for over two hours for the arrival of the Labour Party leadership and the party’s Governorship flag bearer, Fatai Akinbade.

At the event, the National Chairman of the Party, Barrister Dan Nwanyawu, promised the people that if the party was given the mandate, they would concentrate on Human Capital Development.

Other speakers at the event rolled out the party’s manifesto to the people, with the party candidate taking time to debunk the rumor that the Labour Party was planning to join forces with another political party.

Mr Fatai Akinbade was formerly of the People’s Democratic Party, and pulled out as a Governorship aspirant before the emergence of Senator Iyiola Omisore as the party’s candidate.
