The President was speaking in an audience with royal fathers from the FCT, who came to pay him a solidarity visit in the Presidential Villa, led by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed.
He described the Federal Capital Territory as a city other cities in the country should emulate, giving them assurances that he would carry them along in the scheme of things.
Speaking on behalf of the royal fathers, the traditional ruler and the Ona of Abaji, His Royal Highness, Adamu Yinusan, commended President Jonathan, whom he said had done well despite security challenges in the country.
He pledged the support of the group to the President’s transformation agenda but not without making their requests also known to the President.
He requested for the creation of more seats for the FCT in the National Assembly, additional area councils and the appointment of more ministers from the FCT.
