Ajimobi Provides Stomach Infrastructure

The sum of 300 million naira has been distributed as loans among 6,000 traders across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State with no interest.

During the event at the Lekan Salami Stadium Adamasingba in Ibadan, the Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, said that the initiative was part of his administration’s stomach infrastructure.

The scheme is to boost economic activities among traders in the state.

It is a partnership between the State Government and the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Investment, Mr Isiaka Kolawole, said that the scheme is aimed at boosting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and better grant small businesses access to funds.

With a stronger capital base, the interest—free loans is expected to transform their businesses and bring about more economic growth in Oyo State.
