Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has promised to prosecute those already fingered in the communal crisis that left hundreds dead and thousands displaced from their homes in 2014.

The governor disclosed this while addressing journalists after the second phase of his tour to the resettlement centres in Gidan Gambo, Fadama Bauna, Arikya and Ugah in Nasarawa north senatorial district.

Mr Al-makura had earlier issued a warning to politicians when he visited communities in the southern zone, but the level of destruction witnessed in Fadama Bauna and Gidan Gambo left the governor no choice than to go tough on offenders.

He assured the communities of adequate security protection, emphasizing the need to hold those responsible for the crisis in other to serve as deterrent to those who thrive in state of violence.
