NBA Threatens To Take Oshiomhole To Court of Justice

Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Benin branch have threatened to take the Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, to the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court for Crimes against humanity and gross violation of human rights.

The lawyers said this during a protest against the continued closure of courts in the state following alleged refusal of Edo State Government to grant financial autonomy to the judiciary.

The legal practitioners, who were joined by some of their senior colleagues, also said that they and their families have decided to boycott Saturday’s presidential election as a way of registering their displeasure with the prolonged strike.
