AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina Shares Dreams For Africa’s Development

The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwumi Adesina, has been speaking on his mission for the development of the continent.

He says that policies and programmes that would pull the continent out of poverty, war and want would be vigorously pursued during his term as the President of the bank

He was speaking in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, South-West Nigeria while on a thank you visit to the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun in his office in Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.

The new AfDB President called for effort towards reviving the rural economies through agriculture and its value added chains, just as he called for the rural integration in Africa, to ensure peace and stability of the continent and place the continent on the verge of global competitiveness.

In his own part, the Governor of Ogun State expressed confidence in the ability of Dr Adesina to make a big difference in his new assignment as AfDB President.
