The Nigerian government has donated drugs and other relief materials to victims a suicide bombing that occurred at the Jimeta Main Market in Adamawa State.
The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Muhammad Sani and the Inspector General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, were at Jimeta, to visit the injured victims in various hospitals in the State.
According to the NEMA Director General, the donated drugs and relief materials were given to enable the hospital adequately take care of the victims.
Channels Television’s correspondent, Amaka Okafor, reported that the government delegation also paid a visit to the Governor of the state.
“They reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives and property, even in the face of security challenges confronting the nation,” she reported.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, took the government delegation round places affected by the explosion.
At least 31 persons lost their lives in the bomb attack while 40 others injured are receiving treatment in various hospitals across the state.
