Governor Dickson Gets Party’s Certificate Of Return

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, is set for victory at the December 5 governorship elections.

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, said this at the party’s secretariat in Abuja, during the presentation of Certificate of Return to the Governor.

According to him, Dickson has performed so well and would be re-elected by the people for greater development of the state.

Secondus was full of praises for the smooth conduct of the primaries, which he described as a “classic example” in the history of the PDP.

He said that by the outcome of the election, PDP had led the way as a disciplined party with internal democracy and Rule of Law.

“That marks us apart from the other party, whose primaries brought disgrace to not just the state, but the whole of the nation,” he said.

According to the Acting Chairman, since Bayelsa State was a traditional PDP State, Dickson is set for victory.

Mr Secondus praised Dickson for the development strides of his administration till date, adding that his remarkable efforts had transformed the state within a short period of time.

In response, Governor Dickson applauded the leadership of PDP for its maturity in ensuring the conduct of a peaceful primaries, with Governor Fayose doing an excellent job as the Chairman of the the party’s national electoral panel.

According to him, the All Progressives Congress (APC) stands no chance in Bayelsa State.

He said that the PDP was set to sweep the polls, giving the incredible strength of the party in the 105 wards, with all its elected officials holding strategic positions as councilors, LG Chairmen, 21 out of 23 elected State House of Assembly parliamentarians, five elected House of Representatives members, three senators and with him as a performing governor at the helm of affairs.
