Rivers Police Parade Armed Robbery Suspects

Rivers State Police Command have paraded over 20 persons suspected to be armed robbers, kidnappers and cultists.

The suspects were paraded at the Command’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, the state’s capital on Saturday.

The State’s Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, told reporters that his men have intensified the raid on criminal hide outs in the state in keeping with his command’s resolve to rid the state of crime and criminality.

Mr Kimo also commended residents in the state for their cooperation in maintaining relative calm following the recent tribunal judgement that nullified the April 11 governorship election in the state.

He, however, warned that the police is resolute to clamp down on any one who disturbs peace.

Items recovered from the suspects were arms and ammunition including pump action and AK 47 guns.
