Resident Doctors, FMC OwerriStaff of a Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Ogun State have expressed their disappointment over the lack of basic equipment to meet the increasing population of patients who are seeking medical attention in the hospital.

The members of the Joint Health Workers Union in their numbers suspended their services for the time the protest lasted.

They were also protesting alleged bad leadership and infrastructural decay which they said had continued to hamper effective health care delivery in the institution.

The FMC staff called on the Federal Government to quickly intervene before the situation gets out of hand

The Chairman, Union of Nurses and Midwives, Mrs Abosede Fatoyinbo, stated that all efforts to get a reaction from the management on this development proved abortive.

She explained it was because the Chief Medical Director, Mr Sunday Sotiloye, retired some days back.
