El-Rufai Advocates For Peace And Harmony

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has enjoined all Muslims to live in peace and harmony with their Christian counterparts.

The governor made this known among the large number of Muslim Faithful who gathered at capital school Mosque in the state capital to observe the Eid prayer session.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the prayer, Governor El-Rufai used the occasion to wish all Muslims a successful celebration.

He said there is need for a peaceful co-existence in the country and also expressed gratitude to God for seeing the country through all the challenges of the past

Among those who joined the governor in the prayer include the former Governor of Kaduna state, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the Senator representing Kaduna North district, Othman Hunkuyi, Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly among others.

The prayer was conducted amidst tight security.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police has assured of tight security across the state.

He advised residents to be security conscious throughout the celebration.
