ajimobiThe Oyo State government and Labour Union are meeting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to review the finances of the state and determine how the seven months salary owed civil servants can be paid.

A 14 man committee made of seven people each from the government and Labour Union were present at meeting.

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Mr Moses Adeyemo who inaugurated the committee asked the members to be sincere in their approach in resolving the issue.

He asked the committee to work with the Accountant General of the State to know the exact allocation from the federation account and the Internally Generated Revenue for them to agree on the amount to be paid.

There has been disagreement between the government and Labour Union on the modalities for the payment of seven months salaries.

Although government said it has insufficient funds due to the poor finances of the state, the Labour Union think otherwise.
