Veteran Juju artist, Shina Peters, said he has been cautious of collaboration offers he has been receiving from young Nigerian artists.

In comparing his style of music to that of the new generation artistes, the multiple instrumentalist whose music was a party delight back in the 90’s, said although his dressing identified with the hip-hop generation, their music ideologies differ.

This among other reasons, has constantly stopped him from honouring all collaboration requests received so far.

He believes that “one cannot call himself a true artiste until you can play an instrument”.

“There is no way you can call yourself an achiever in the music industry, without knowing how to play one or two instruments,” he added.
