Governor Ayodele Fayose has commissioned the one kilometre dual carriage road and street light projects initiated by his administration in Ikole and Omuo towns in Ekiti State.
The commissioning was part of activities to commemorate the second year anniversary of the Fayose-led administration in the state.
While switching on the street lights, Governor Fayose assured the people of the state of his commitment to providing the required basic social amenities such as water, good roads and electricity among others.
He vowed not to relent in his quest to ensure all-round development in the southwest state.
The people of Ikole and Omuo local government areas of the state could not hold their joy when the Governor and his entourage arrived the towns in the early hours of Thursday.
Some residents of the towns, Mr Olufemi Daramola and Mrs Oyin Adegboye, commended the Governor for fulfilling his promise.
They also urged him to sustain the tempo of development in the state.
